'I have always thought that there is no more fruitful source of family discontent than a housewife’s badly-cooked dinners and untidy ways'. (Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management, 1861)

  8. LOL I feel a pre-school disco coming on! One of my fave tracks to play and sing with my 4-year-old as he gets ready for nursery is 'Mama Said Knock You Out' by LL Cool J. Quite wrong from many angles, but there you have it!

Belated congrats on your blogoversary by the way.

  12. Very funny! My husband bought me one of those compilations actually and he was in a rush so just picked up the first one he saw - I tried to look pleased when I saw it had Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinhk on!!!!!(he is taking it back though, as I obviously growled a bit, and he thus got the message that it was a crap choice meant for his mother not his wife).
    Congrats on shortlisting - wow!
